1. About Scavengers
Scavengers offers self-guided scavenger hunts that you play on your phone while exploring a city, usually by bike. Tickets are sold in store by independent partner retailers. By buying or using a ticket you agree to these terms.
2. Tickets and access
After you buy a ticket, we email you a private link to your hunt. The link works for the hunt you bought and for no other hunt.
- The 12-hour access period starts the first time the link is opened, so open it when you are ready to start.
- Once the 12 hours have passed, the link expires and the clues can no longer be viewed. Expired tickets cannot be extended or reactivated.
- Keep your link private. Do not share or publish it, as anyone with the link can use your ticket.
3. Safety and traffic
A hunt is a game, not a guided tour. You take part at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety and for anyone in your group, including children.
- Follow all traffic laws and local rules, and stay alert while cycling. Never use your phone while moving: stop in a safe place to read clues.
- We recommend wearing a helmet and checking the weather before you set off.
- Routes and locations are suggestions. Some places may be closed, busy or under works, so use your own judgement.
4. Bikes and belongings
Scavengers does not supply bikes. If you rent a bike from a retailer, the retailer's own rental terms apply. You are responsible for your bike and belongings during the hunt.
5. Purchases and refunds
Tickets are sold by our partner retailers. Questions about a purchase or a refund should be sent to the retailer where you bought your ticket. Nothing in these terms affects the legal rights you have as a consumer.
6. Acceptable use
You may not copy, resell, scrape or republish the clues, hints or other content, or try to bypass the ticket checks. We may block links that are misused.
7. Content and intellectual property
The text, clues, design and logo of Scavengers belong to us or our licensors. Some photos come from Wikimedia Commons and are used under their respective free licences.
8. Changes to hunts and to these terms
Hunts can change, for example if a location is closed or a clue needs correcting. We may also update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies from the date shown above.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Scavengers is not liable for accidents, injury, loss or damage that happen while you take part in a hunt, or for temporary unavailability of the website. This does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes are handled by the courts of Valencia, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
